5 Levels U/G Parking
Television City presented significant challenges with the foundation of the building due to poor quality ground conditions and a 100 year old CN Rail tunnel directly south of the site. Conventional tiebacks could not be used to support the walls of the 5 level excavation and had to be replaced with 15 cross site struts due to the proximity of the train tunnel. At the base of the excavation 475 helical piles were drilled to adequately support the two tower 32 storey structure.
